Why binders made from polypropylene fibers?

The oil absorbing nonwovens offer the following advantages:

• an exceptional absorption capacity (up to 25 times its own weight)
• Depending on the area of application, binding nonwovens are used that only absorb oil (but not water), or those that absorb all liquids, including chemicals.

Their consumption and disposal are particularly time and cost saving:

• thanks to their light weight, they are quick to use and save time
• they do not generate dust and do not need to be swept
• in preventive use, they prevent the risk of slipping
• unlike granules, the amount used can always be controlled
• the binding agents have a good calorific value when they are disposed of. Less than 0.05 % ash residue is produced.

SMF: Three-layer structure reinforced with a lint-free protective fleece on the surface and a non-slip PE film on the underside. This film reliably prevents the absorbed oils from being transferred to the substrate due to strong pressure or oversaturation. Can be used as a carpet pad when handling oils and fuels and when repairing plant and construction machinery in open terrain.

Ideal for its intended use:

• To delimit a safe pedestrian traffic zone
• in general traffic zones
• in and around machinery.
• Use in maintenance pits

Property: Hydrophilic, absorbs almost all liquids

Suitable for: Oils, coolants, lubricants, antifreeze, oil-water emulsions and other aqueous liquids as well as non-aggressive acids and alkalis
