Chemical absorbents are hydrophilic. They deal with aggressive fluids such as acids or alkalis.* Chemical sheets, rolls, minirolls, snakes and pillows are fast acting and highly absorbent, keeping good tensile properties even when saturated. Yellow color identifies potentially hazardous content requiring increased caution during manipulation. Simple to use, non-toxic, non-reactive, they are used to clean up and collect spills around acid baths, in chemical storage areas or in laboratories. Used absorbents can be properly incinerated to reduce disposal cost.

Plain high lofted meltblown polypropylene provides maximum absorbency, excellent absorption time and fluid retention.

Plain absorbents can absorb 18 - 20 litres per kilogram of SAE 10W/40 oil on average or 10 - 11 litres of water per kilogram of sorbent on average.
